Whiskey in a teacup book review6/27/2023 ![]() It’s easy to bring a little bit of Reese’s world into your home, no matter where you live. Reese loves sharing Dorothea’s most delicious recipes as well as her favourite southern traditions, from midnight barn parties to backyard bridal showers, magical Christmas mornings to rollicking honky-tonks. It’s reflected in how she entertains, decorates her home, and makes holidays special for her kids - not to mention how she talks, dances and does her hair (in these pages, you will learn Reese’s fail-proof, only slightly insane hot-roller technique). She takes the South wherever she goes with bluegrass, big holiday parties, and plenty of Dorothea’s fried chicken. Reese’s southern heritage informs her whole life, and she loves sharing the joys of southern living with practically everyone she meets. ![]() Reese Witherspoon’s grandmother Dorothea always said that a combination of beauty and strength made southern women 'whiskey in a teacup'. It was the fastest series I have read because the story and the characters are so good. The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare is one of the series that got me hooked into reading. I have been a shadowhunter for almost 10 years. They announced that Cassandra Clare & Holly Black are taking the stage together for the first time in Dubai in The King and Queen Book Tour, session with Q&A and a book signing afterwards. I’ve planned on snatching a good book haul, but when they released the author line-up last year, I immediately e-mailed the team managing the event to confirm if there was a book signing. The annual Emirates Airline Festival of Literature kicked off their 11th year with over 170 authors attending from 1-9 March 2019. ![]()

Reckless brubaker reading order6/25/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() It has intense bursts of action, slow-burning pages of detective work, and an awesome sense of resolution at the end of this. The main narrative in Reckless has everything one could hope for from a pulp hero. However, the story told is still very enjoyable and should please anyone interested in the genre. Admittedly, the comic doesn’t do much to push beyond the standard pulp hero story. This intense action plays out alongside a slowly unfolding mystery, which makes the entire adventure even more enjoyable to experience. For a living, he fixes other people’s problems, no matter how difficult they are or how much violence is necessary to overcome them. The comic revolves around a classic-style pulp hero, with a gruff exterior and a mysterious past. Reckless, by Ed Brubaker, is a fun adventure from start to finish. In the end, this is a book for readers who want a classic pulp mystery in comic book format. The book isn’t incredible at all times but is a solid example of the genre it is going for. This is then complemented by visuals that suit the work as a whole. The narrative has engaging action and is centered around an equally engaging mystery. Overall: This is a fun adventure centered around a solid mystery. The artwork looks great and suits the book well.Ĭons: The comic feels a little basic at times.
